After much lobbying for a new ball park, The St Louis Cardinals baseball team’s dream came true. Opening in 2006, the St. Louis Cardinals made their debut playing against the Milwaukee Brewers. With a seating capacity of 47,000, fans roam the large open concourses before taking their seat to watch the game from the best views found in any ball park. Beyond the outfield area, is the skyline of downtown St. Louis and the Gateway Arch. The stadium is all open air design with bleachers on the left and right and open concourses so fans can view the game while getting concessions. The Cardinals became the first team since the New York Yankees in 1923 to open a new stadium and win the World Series in 2006.
